February 17, the State Post Bureau released the operation of the postal industry in January.Beijing Youth Daily learned that in January, the postal business revenue (excluding the direct revenue of postal savings Bank) reached 127.11 billion yuan, up 8.7% year on year.The total business volume reached 125.29 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 5.0%.In January, China’s express delivery companies handled 8.77 billion parcels of business.In January, the total postal service business volume reached 26.06 billion yuan, down 1.0% year on year;The volume of postal delivery services reached 2.56 billion pieces, down 5.8% year on year.Revenue from postal delivery services reached 4.02 billion yuan, up 8.1% year on year.In January, China’s express delivery companies completed 8.77 billion pieces of business, up 3.3 percent year on year.Business revenue reached 91.73 billion yuan, up 5.7% year on year.Among them, same-city business volume was 1.07 billion, up 1.5% year on year;Offsite business volume reached 7.54 billion, up 4.0% year on year;The volume of international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan business completed 160 million pieces, down 13.0% year on year.In January, same-city, long-distance, and international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan express services accounted for 12.2%, 86.0% and 1.8% of all express services respectively.Business income accounted for 6.7%, 49.7% and 10.4% of the total express revenue, respectively.Compared with the same period last year, the share of express delivery business in the same city fell 0.2 percentage points, that of express delivery business in different places rose 0.6 percentage points, and that of international/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan fell 0.4 percentage points.In January, express business volume accounted for 77.2 percent, 15.5 percent and 7.3 percent in the eastern, central and western regions, and business revenue accounted for 76.6 percent, 14.0 percent and 9.4 percent, respectively.Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of express business volume in eastern China was basically flat, while the proportion of express business income decreased by 0.9 percentage points.In the central region, the proportion of express delivery business increased by 0.4 percentage points, and the proportion of express delivery business income increased by 0.7 percentage points.In the western region, the share of express delivery business decreased by 0.4 percentage points, while the share of express delivery business revenue increased by 0.2 percentage points.By Beijing Youth Daily reporter Zhang Xin editor by Tian Ye
